Coming home it’s all about the beaches

Blouberg fun

Met some lovely High School Seniors and asked if they wanted to take advantage of the sunset.

Well we are finally in South Africa! It has been almost 4 years since I have been home. It has been so interesting seeing all the changes and the things that don’t change. I can’t wait to share more with everyone about what South Africa is like for me but I needed to post about the most exciting this I wanted to do as soon as I got back to South Africa.

Real beaches! You know the kind that has white fine sea sand that doesn’t color your skin after being in it for a while? We have been living in Washington state so we are mostly used to beaches like Alki where if you walk on the sand you come out with ‘dirty’ looking feet.

It’s also about the water, it was so warm! This photograph was taken at Blouberg Strand in Cape Town, South Africa.

Maitland Mine Dune in Port Elizabeth, on of the best beaches to enjoy the sand not so much swim in.
